Are color words part of your kindergarten curriculum? We teach color words in kindergarten here in Missouri! Students learn how to read them, write them, and use them in their daily activities. I created this color words pocket chart activity to help reinforce color words with kinders. Kindergarten students love using pocket charts, so this was an activity that I knew would keep them engaged.
The activity is simple to prep, and easy for young learners to complete independently! Students build each color word in a pocket chart while matching it to the correct color paint bucket. They then complete one of the independent practice printables, which has them cut and glue color words together. Simple as that!
I always print my pocket chart materials on tagboard, which ensures they are durable enough for little hands!
