Today my kinders made sight word ice cream cones and they absolutely loved it. They could not wait to decorate their ice cream in different flavors. I try to change up my sight word activities every week so that my kids have a variety of activities to choose from. I use the Journeys reading series which introduces my kids to 40 sight words throughout the school year. Now that my kids know how to build the sight word ice cream cones, I will place this in my literacy center as another sight word activity.
